Cabinet to decide on one rank one pension for HC judges

The Cabinet committee is likely to take a call tomorrow on the long-pending demand of high court judges of one rank one pension. But delay in implementation of orop for defence personnel.

Today the Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh in a written reply to Shri Vivek Gupta in Rajya Sabha on this issue. He said that the policy of ‘One Rank One Pension (OROP)’ for the Armed Forces has been adopted by the Government to address the pension disparities. The modalities for implementation were discussed with various stakeholders and are presently under consideration of the Government. It will be implemented once the modalities are approved by the Government.
